“T and Shirt Exhibition”

▪️June 5 (Fri) – June 7 (Sun)

▪️11:00 – 19:00

▪️Hotori 2F / Inside Com-ion 382-1 Horiikecho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto

For the first time in a year, we will be holding an exhibition and sales event at the beautiful space “Hotori.”

This time, we will mainly present one-of-a-kind T-shirts and shirts dyed with indigo and kakishibu (persimmon tannin dye).

Plant-dyed garments have a light and gentle feeling against the skin. Each time you wear them,

it feels as though you are being softly wrapped by nature.

Because clothing remains in contact with our skin every day, we feel that choosing garments dyed with natural materials is also an important part of what we wear.

Another unique charm of natural dyeing is the way the colors and textures slowly change over time.

Indigo dyeing is said to have effects such as UV protection, antibacterial, deodorizing, and insect-repelling properties.

Kakishibu dyeing is said to offer antibacterial, deodorizing, and preservative qualities.

Looking at the clothing of earlier generations, we feel that their connection to nature still lives on through these dyes and materials.

As we move into the warmer season, we hope these garments can help make daily life feel even a little more comfortable.

With a desire to share the beauty of natural dyeing, this exhibition will focus mainly on our naturally dyed series.

We will also have organic cotton shirts and haori available.

※ The indigo and kakishibu dyeing is done by a traditional dye studio in Kyoto.

We sincerely look forward to welcoming you.
